And so it began...
In early September, I joined the MWP group Teaching in the Age of LLMS. One of our tasks was to think of a question we wanted to solve on the topic. Originally, I was going to question if AI could help improve my students' writing. As I worked with students and AI (primarily Grammarly), I realized the focus may be too narrow. After conversations with other members, I decided my question will be centered more around how the advent of AI changes my teaching.
Although I have been taking notes, it seems as though each day, I could reflect on AI and my teaching. Sometimes it's something small such as a student upset that Grammarly has changed a loon to a lion. Other times, it's something larger such as planning a lesson around using ChatGPT only to realize the district has blocked it within the last 24 hours.
Instead of disregarding some of my thoughts, forgetting them, or writing them in various notebooks, I am going to write my ideas down at least once a week in this blog. I will go through and post some past reflections from those notebooks before I continue with my current wonderings.
