Can I Use Grammarly?

As students were finishing the editing on their last writings, a student asked me if she could use Grammarly to check her punctuation and capitalization. "Try it," I told her.  She put in her prompt and was disappointed with its output.  It didn't really do anything to correct the punctuation and capitalization, but it did make suggestions on her word choice.  I was intrigued and asked her to show me the outputs.  Most of the suggestions were ignored by both of us.  

I then asked her to make sure both the spelling checker and grammar checker were engaged.  She thought this was more help than Grammarly.

I appreciate her asking because most students won't ask.  I also appreciate the access to her process to see how the AI works. As students use AI more and more, I want to be part of the process to see how it works.
