Let's Write a Poem?

One poem that students will write is a car metaphor.  I use examples from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as the characters are compared to cars in the prologue.  A poem from Alexander Kwame's book Rebound which compares jazz musicians to cars.  

Of course, I wanted to try using Grammarly to see the poem it would produce. 

First, I asked it to write a car metaphor.

Next, I had it write a car metaphor poem.

Using this to teach about line breaks and to get ideas for their poem could prove helpful.  It would also show them that I am looking for more of a comparison of their life to a car.
